Week 2 Recap
Markinson
Three nail-biters and a blowout.
Andrew gets his first Markinson win, and he does it with a bang, snagging the Heineken in a 70-point ass-whoopin' of Drew. He sits in 3rd but has the highest point total.
Dean holds onto 1st with a 9-point win over Nalu, who is still looking for his first Markinson victory. It is Dean's record-extending 10th straight win in Markinson, yet he's still somehow looking for his first Champions League title.
Hubert is also 2-0 after beating me by 3, on the second-to-last pass of MNF. More on that play in a minute
Jeremy is the unlucky loser for the second straight week, this time falling to Russell by 3. It is Russell's first Markinson win.
Montoya
Jeremy throws back his 12th career Heineken with a 70-point thrashing of Lisa. The win vaults him into a 1st place tie with me and atop the race for Starling, which he won back in '07.
I somehow beat Dan by 0.18 points, on the strength of that last-minute throw by Brees that cost me the win in Markinson. I happily took that trade. Dan goes from the luckiest win ever (64 to 62) to one of the most brutal and unlucky (124.78 - 124.96). I haven't confirmed, but I'm pretty sure it's the closest game ever.
Gina moves into 3rd with an 18-point win over Hubert. It is Hubert's worst start in the premier league, and I doubt he's ever been as low as 7th place in Montoya.
First to worst? Scott rebounds nicely from his sad showing last week to score a solid 24-point win over defending champion Andrew, who is now at the bottom of the standings.
Dufresne
No close games this week.
Jason is rebounding from a disappointing season, sitting in 2nd place after scoring his 14th career Heineken in a 23-point win over Russell.
Dean is getting comfortable in 1st after a solid 39-point win over Amer.
Steve is back in business after beating Eddy by 47, moving him into 3rd place and just a couple points back of Dean.
Drew was on the wrong end of another blowout, losing to Nalu by 49, and he's sitting in last.
