Week 12 Recap

Markinson

In a huge upset, last-place Drew drops 1st-place Hubert by 25, taking the Heineken in the process. It is Drew's second straight upset of a top team, and he now stands in 7th, while Hubert drops to 2nd.

Andrew takes advantage with a 47-point win over Jeremy to take over 1st place on points. His points lead is massive, so he controls his own destiny with 2 weeks to go.

Russell beats Dean by 35 to stay tied for 1st on wins but 3rd on points. He still has a solid shot, but he needs some help. Andrew and Russell play in the final week, which has to make Hubert happy.

I take out Nalu by 10, a huge hit for his title hopes. We are both now a game back with a points deficit, effectively out of the hunt.

Montoya

Andrew wins his fifth Heineken in six weeks with a 77-point beatdown of Dan, solidifying his spot in the top 4 and dimming Dan's hopes.

In the battle at the top, I take down Jeremy by 28, and my magic number for the title is now 1, either 1 win by me or 1 loss by him in the remaining two weeks.

Hubert gets a huge win of his own, a 41-point win over Lisa to remain in the all-important top 4.

Scott takes down Gina by 14 and still has a shot at sneaking into the top 4.

Dufresne

In another battle at the top, Amer has a Heineken performance, topping Jason by 34 points, despite Jason having the second-highest point total for the week. It is Jason's second straight loss, and combined with Amer's 5-game winning streak, they are now tied atop the standings, with Jason leading on points.

Russell lucks out with a 4-point win over Eddy despite scoring only 73 points. It is good enough to keep him in 3rd place.

Nalu crushes Dean by 44, keeping him in range of the top 4, while dropping Dean into a dangerous mix in the middle.

Drew tops Steve by 16, and both of their Markinson hopes are likely pinned to the playoffs now.

Week 11 Recap

Markinson

Dean scores the Heineken with a 7-point win over me, keeping his hopes alive while effectively ending mine.

Nalu scores the upset, dropping Andrew out of 1st with a 15-point win and keeping himself in the mix.

Hubert takes advantage with a 5-point win over Jeremy to vault into 1st place by a game, though it is effective half a game over Andrew.

Russell takes a huge hit with a loss to last-place Drew by 26.

Montoya

Hubert snags the Heineken in a 17-point win over Andrew, a huge win for his chances to stay in Markinson. A bad QB decision costs Andrew his 5th straight Heineken and an important win.

I top Lisa by 15 to stay on top of the standings.

Jeremy also wins, by 37 over Scott, to keep pace with me. We match up next week for pole position in the championship race.

Gina hurts Dan's Markinson hopes with a 23-point win, keeping her own hopes alive.

Dufresne

Amer scores the Heineken with a 23-point win over Steve. Steve's hopes for Markinson are hurting, while Amer is officially a title contender.

Jason remains in 1st despite getting destroyed by Nalu by 70 points. The win keeps Nalu in position to battle for a Markinson spot.

Dean ends his losing streak with an important 11-point win over Russell as the two jockey for position.

It's a miracle! Eddy gets his second win of the season by 1.5 points over Drew, devastating Drew's chances of staying in Markinson.

Week 10 Recap

Markinson

Hubert snags the Heineken with a 70-point beatdown of Russell, moving up to 2nd and dropping Russell from the top to 3rd.

With Russell's loss, Andrew vaults to the top on points tie-breaker with a 61-point win over Dean. Dean has now lost 4 in a row.

I top Drew by 30, and Nalu beats Jeremy by 10, keeping both of us on the periphery of contention.

Montoya

Well that is a heart-breaking loss. Vick goes for 57 while Torain doesn't play despite being listed as active, giving Andrew the Heineken in a 15-point win over me. It is Andrew's fourth straight Heineken, and he is now in 3rd place and looking solid for a return to Markinson. I remain in 1st, but my margin of error is gone.

Jeremy moves into a tie for 1st on wins with a 19-point victory over Gina.

Dan eeks one out over Hubert by 6 to get back into the top 4 in his quest for a first Markinson. Hubert is on the outside looking in.

Scott crushes Lisa by 61 to drop Lisa out of the top 4.

Dufresne

Russell remains in the mix with a 41-point win over Nalu and a Heineken.

Jason stays on top with a 26-point victory over Steve.

Amer also keeps his hopes alive with a 68-point win over punching bag Eddy.

Dean falls to Drew by 28 points, and his title hopes are slipping.

Week 9 Recap

Markinson

Jeremy wins the Heineken and scores one of the largest margins of victory in league history, topping Russell by 95 points and pulling him back to the pack. Russell still leads by 1 game, but with the second-lowest point total in the league, the lead is precarious.

Andrew misses out on double-fisting by 0.22, but it is plenty to beat Drew by 52 points and vault into 2nd place. He is essentially just a half-game back of Russell.

Hubert remains in contention after eeking by me by 2 points.

Dean falls to 3rd after losing to Nalu by 13, his third straight loss.

Montoya

Andrew snags his 3rd straight Heineken and is now back in the top 4 after beating Scott by 59.

I hold onto the top spot narrowly beating Dan by 5. The loss drops Dan out of the top 4.

Jeremy stays a game back in 2nd with a 50-point win over Lisa, but Lisa still manages to hold onto 3rd.

Hubert remains in the mix after beating Gina by 7.

Dufresne

Jason grabs the Heineken with a huge 67-point win over Russell, and in the process he takes over both 1st place in the league and in the Starling race.

Dean falls to 2nd after losing by 64 points to Amer. Amer is now back in the top 4.

Steve beats Eddy by 20 to stay in the hunt, and Nalu does the same after downing Drew by 8.

Russell takes advantage of Dean's slip, beating me by 5 to take over 1st place.

Nalu takes out Drew by 36 to move out of the cellar.
